Holy Crap! Republicans Are Right. Those Poor People Have It Freakin’ Easy!!!

Oh….excuse me Congressman Ryan….I didn’t recognize you

Here I was donating to various causes over the years, you know, the Salvation Army, Goodwill, food centers, and on occasion some homeless guy standing at an intersection asking for a handout so that he could eat. I even went so far as to donate via the mail to a lot of agencies helping the poor.

Geez….how stoopid was I for doing that!

Had I known that poor people have it easy I would have saved all that donation money I contributed and sent it off to some political campaign, because, as we all know, they’re in desperate need of cash to get their candidates reelected so that they can go to Washington and make a statement like this one that was in the news yesterday:

“Vast Majority Of Conservatives Think The Poor ‘Have It Easy,’ Poll Finds”

Had I known this I never would have made any of those donations. I never realized that poor people have it so easy. Damn!welfare5

Like for instance, the “Pew Research Center” in a recent poll found that 80 percent of conservatives agree that “poor people have it easy because they can get government benefits without doing anything.”

YES! Bastards. “Without doing anything those damn freeloaders can get government benefits like food stamps and stuff. AND, those same conservatives said in that poll that an individual’s (poor person) poverty is based on “lack of effort” on his or her part.”

Yeah….rotten no good lazy bastards.

How about giving me an incentive to hit you with a freakin’ 2 X 4

Like a friend of mine who is 72, disabled, and retired who gets a whopping $16 dollars in food stamp assistance a month. Holy crap! $16 dollars. Cripes, that’s more than enough to survive for two or three months as far as I’m concerned. And he doesn’t have to do a damn thing to get it either. Bastard.

Lack of effort. Yeah, all he has to do is go out into the workforce and earn that money like the rest of us instead of depending on the government to give him food stamps. WTF is wrong with him anyhow. Doesn’t he know that he’s just a damn slacker and, according to conservatives, has “lack of effort.”

Stinkin’ no good lazy SOB’n pigeons

Here’s another point made by conservatives. “Government aid to the poor does more harm than good, by making people too dependent on government assistance,” while a majority of left-leaning respondents said the government does more good because “people can’t get out of poverty until their basic needs are met.”

YES….government aid, according to conservatives, does more harm than good. Ya get dependent on that assistance, like depending on the government to help you survive with food stamps and such, and the next thing ya know you’ll want to have food stamps every month so that you can continue to feed your family. How despicable.

You disabled, elderly, and homeless people, go out and get a freakin’ job and stop depending on the government to help ya. WTF is wrong with all of you anyhow. Damn slackers.

Smoky the Bear after he retired

Cripes, I can remember when years ago I too had to rely on the government to help me out when I was sick and couldn’t work. Boy was I living the high life.

YES……a hot dog or two, on occasion, for supper every night. Sometimes we even had a bowl of “Frosted Flakes” as a treat for supper. AND…..I recall fondly once when I actually splurged with my food stamp voucher of $25 dollars and bought a (gasp) candy bar, brought it home, and my wife, two kids and I shared it while watching radio. (we had no TV so we watched radio and imagined what was going on)

Boy was that the good life. Yep…we sure as hell had it easy. Those conservatives in that poll sure hit it on the old nail.

So, no more donating to causes anymore. No sireee. Now that I know the poor have it easy, I’m donating all of my extra cash to those people who Mitt Romney talked about when he was running for President. Yep…corporations. THEY need the money more than those stinkin’ poor people.

After all, As Mitt once said, “Corporations are poor people too.” (sniff)

Compassion at its best

In fact, I think conservatives have yet another point to strengthen their theory that the rich have it easy. They make similar arguments in favor of slashing unemployment benefits — Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) argued last year that extending unemployment insurance past 26 weeks would be a “disservice” to jobless workers.

Bless his little conservative heart. (sniff) I think I’m tearing up here.

YES! F**k them damn jobless workers. Go out and get a damn job you slackers. Ya want an extension of unemployment benefits! WHAT…are you nucking futs! It would be a “disservice.”

Besides, why the hell do ya need an extension of benefits anyhow? To feed your family, pay your damn bills, doctors fees, utilities, all those things you could really do without. Next thing ya know you’re dependent on those benefits and get to survive another month.

I say cut those stinkin’ benefits and give all that extra cash to people who really deserve it. Those poor struggling wealthy people. Cut…cut…cut….my motto.

Now go f**k off

So I say, let’s hear it for all conservatives who are compassionate enough to realize that the poor DO have it easy and do not need any help at all to survive but that the wealthy, obviously the people who DO matter, need all the help they can get from the government.

To get reelected and make more stupid statements like, “the poor have it easy.”

To which all poor people should respond, “Hey a**holes…..walk a mile in my shoes.”

That is if I could afford a pair of shoes.

Just sayin.’

A few years ago, I was working at a Legal Aid office and a client came in with an issue about “Public benefits.”

His issue, as he described it to me, was this: “You know that welfare stuff people are always complaining about? How do I get that?”

The truth was, as a single male with no kids and no disabling condition in Texas, he was sort of out of luck. Like almost everyone in his position in this state, he could have been eligible for $17 a month in food stamps.

The thing was, he had a drug felony, so he’s banned from food stamps for life.

We told him to maybe try another state.

Yet big corporations and the wealthy can skirt the system by getting huge tax breaks or pay no taxes. How many corporate executives have you read about who are banned for life for doing unethical things? It’s always the low income or poor who get the short end of the ol stick.

And, “banned for life” because of one felony? Hell, even some murderers get out of jail for cripes sake.
