2013 In Review

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2013 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

The Louvre Museum has 8.5 million visitors per year. This blog was viewed about 100,000 times in 2013. If it were an exhibit at the Louvre Museum, it would take about 4 days for that many people to see it.

(WordPress sends their annual report to us bloggers so that we can see how we wasted our time writing each and every day when we could have been out doing something useful, like helping old ladies crossing the street or just plain annoying people in person. Obviously, because most old ladies I try to help think I’m a freakin’ purse thief and gas is so expensive, I choose to annoy most of you on the Internet.

Anyhow, I thought I might as well continue on with all that and end the year by annoying you with what WordPress compiled on all the inane stuff I did in 2013. Expect more in 2014.

    I didn’t leave 23 comments this year?

I think this “Year in review” function lies.

Nevertheless, it does confirm to me something I’ve noticed with my own page: No matter how well I write, no matter how wonderful I think a post is, a crappy entry randomly titled “Hot Naked Chicks” will still get more page views.
